In aphorism 288 Dr.Hahnemann writes “The action of medicines in the liquid form upon the living human body takes place in such a penetrating manner, spreads out from the point of the sensitive fibers provided with nerves whereto the medicine s first applied with such inconceivable rapidity and so universally through all parts of the living body, that this action of the medicine must be denominated a spirit like a (dynamic virtual) action.” Again in aphorism 293 he writes, “I find it necessary to allude here to animal magnetism, as it is termed, or other mesmerism (as it should be called, out gratitude to Mesmer, its first founder), which differs so much in its nature from all other therapeutic agents. The curative power, often so stupidly denied, which streams upon a patient by the contact of a well-intentioned person powerfully exerting his will, either act homoeopathically…”

One can wonder how a dynamic substance can be swallowed by mouth, how it can be eaten.
