I was already indifferent, even hostile, to Starbucks (didn’t the name give those clone customers a clue?) and see it more as lifestyle jewellery than a coffee house – in fact it joins Apple as one of those ‘manufactured cool’ brands that real cool avoids like the plague. And from a brief taste, it’s actually not good coffee either. The bleating of the Herd hurts my ears.
