My perspective on skin cancer:
Skin cancer was unknown until the 1950’s, and instantly became an epidemic. What changed? That was when Madison Avenue convinced the American public they needed to slather on tanning oils before going into the sun. The oils smelt of coconut but were mostly mineral oil.
Fast forward. What’s in the sunblockers? I believe the root cause of skin cancer is smearing the skin with chemicals and then baking it in under the sun.
My preventative is to cover up until my shadow is at least as tall as me, so the sun is diffused through more atmosphere.

I just found your website the other day, and I am in love with it. I’ve been searching for all kinds of information like this once I found out how much lies we were told about skin care products. And this particular thing doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s interesting that the sunshine protects are melanoma instead of destroying it. I always wondered to myself why we would live on a planet where the sun, that gives us light and warmth, can end up killing us (It never made sense to me).
