Pueraria mirifica. Big breasts are great, but

by ProfKeith

One of my subscribers, who prefers to remain anonymous, used Pueraria mirifica (PM) and got the promised breast enlargement. So far, so good. But she says…

I purchased two bottles of pueraria mirifica from ainterol.us.com.  I used one bottle (100 caps) and noticed breast growth.  It was great: bigger and firmer breasts.  I bought a second bottle because it was said that permanent change will be noticed 3-6 months and it had only been about two months.

My breasts are currently still big and perky but they really hurt.  I also missed my period for the first time ever.  I am very concerned because my breasts, although big, are very, very painful (it’s been about 2 weeks since I missed my period).  The breast tenderness usually passes after I’ve had my menstrual period.

Did I buy the right pueraria mirifica? And should I be concerned?

Thank you!

The reply comes from Dr. Sandy Schwartz, the world leader in Pueraria science and commerce. This is his reply:

I’d say yes. The daily dose for Pueraria mirifica is 2 mg / kg; unless you’re 550lbs (250 Kgs), you’re either taking too much or you’re not taking true PM.

I looked at their website and there’s no indication that this is real PM. In Japan, more than 85% of PM products are falsely labeled.

I can’t tell you with any level of certainty that what you’re taking is not PM, but losing your period is a reported symptom of taking Pueraria candolii or any one of the 100+ Pueraria roots, that are NOT the true mirifica sub-species.

I recommend that you take Solgar, Nature’s Answer, A-Ma-Ta, and Longevity Plus, which contains true Pueraria mirifica, if you want to be side-effect free.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sandy

Hi

I am a mom of 5 children and i am 43, after i breastfed my last born my breast were sagging and dropped to a 34a.

I tried solgars P.M for a few days and noticed that i was getting really dizzy, after i stopped taking it i was fine.

Why do i get soo dizzy when i take solgars P.M and could you please advise me on a good brand of pueraria mirifica that works without bad side effects?

Thank you.

I’m a little confused too; I am taking HRT from Longevity Plus which has the pueraria mirifica in it; I googled Solgars PM Phytogen Plus and it comes up with Solgars PM Phytogen Complex…is this the same thing? I am assuming; but given other peoples’ concerns and issues, I’d rather be sure. The HRT product takes over a month to receive; and it is nearly twice the cost of the Solgars product. I want to get those firmer breasts!
Thanks!

I have been taking HRT from Longevity Plus for about a month, and breasts do seem to have ‘grown’ a little. What I KNOW has happened is that my nipples are much more sensitive and enlarged. Please keep up posted on which of the products you feel is safest. Oh, and as Kirsten mentioned, it takes quite a long time to get the product from Longevity Plus. Thanks

I am 63 years old and have Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. I have been using Solgar PM for a month. I noticed my hair stopped fall off and shine more. I noticed my breasts more firm. Is it any side effect for a person with Leukemia?

Dr. Keith May 16, 2010 at 8:35 am

Good for you Sueli,
I’m pleased you are doing well.
No known side effects in this condition, no.

Any other ladies noticed the nipple sensitivity? I have not heard it reported before.

Yes , I am experiencing the same nipple sensitivity and been on menopause for 4 yrs , now have discharges .
The PM is 5oomg and approved by FDA.
Bought on Ebay. Would be better for me to use the cream?
Is there such thing?
Thanks

ProfKeith April 9, 2012 at 4:01 pm

There is no authentic pueraria on eBay. You have been conned.

I am so grateful to have small breasts; I can’t imagine trying to carry around larger ones. Oh, the hassles! I am an RN and have frequently had patients with back pain, shoulder pain, and/or rashes under the breasts from too much moisture there. I absolutely hate having to wear a bra, and am able to go bra-less nearly all of the time, thankfully (I wear tops that have a double-thickness front, to maintain my modesty). You will not finding me craving something that brings with it unwelcome side-effects, beyond the medical issues, such as the extra frontal weight, being forced to wear a bra, sagging boobs, rashes, or back/shoulder pain. I already have enough of the pain part, no need to add another reason for it. Thank you, God, for my small breasts!!

The above posting is the first I’ve heard of Pueraria mirifica and benefits derived from it. I’m wondering if a woman has had a bi-lateral mastectomy removing 95% of the breast tissue, can this heral remedy be of benefit for re-growing healthy breast tissue? The mastectomy was performed in 1980, as a cancer preventative action. Fibrocystic tumors were growing at an excellerated rate in both breast. Bi-lumin implants were implanted a year later. Silicone gel was in the inner lumin surrounded by saline water in the outer lumin. The both implants were ruptured during an accident in 1988, and were removed in 1989. I have refused to have replacement implants. Silicone poisoning is a viable disease, even if FDA has finally approved the use of it. Even the saline implants have silicone shells and are not safe in my opinion (which is based on considerable research through the alchives of JAMA medical reports). But, I am open to using a homeopathic remedy if you think it may generate natural regrowth of healthy breast tissue. I had read several years ago that there were experiments going on to grow breast tissue in petrie dishes in the use of the patient’s own cells. But have not heard of any progress on that in at least 10 years. I’d appreciate your opinion on the use of this herb, Dr. Keith. Thanks, June R.

Dr. Keith March 28, 2010 at 1:57 pm

Difficult one June. I certainly can’t firmly recommend it for your situation as a means of breast growth. I’ll pass on the query to Dr Sandy.
But it remains a very viable “hormone” to block estrogen damage, which includes heart disease and stroke, as well as breast cancer.
Hopefully, you have too little left for a recurrence. But who can be sure?

I have been taking HRT from Longevity Plus for 4 months and nothing has grown. I five a day. How long should you wait before considering that this may not work for you.

Renée April 9, 2010 at 1:41 am

Hello

I want to know if Pueraria mirifica is good for stopping urin leakage due to menaupause?

Thank you

Kirsten Jude April 29, 2010 at 3:30 pm

No, I have not had any nipple sensitivity. Sure don’t have any issues with them being too heavy, causing rashes or whatever, LOL! I nursed three children; and recently lost 20 pounds – just trying to fill up my (smaller) but pretty bra! Everyone is entitled to their opinions….but leave the judgement at your front door before you step in. The ‘side effects’ if you looked into them are an increased protection against breast cancer, heart disease and stroke; of which both my parents have had – and the bad effects from improper estrogen dominence is a very real issue!
I have been using the PM PhytoGen Complex with success as far as how I feel probably leaving peri-menopause and entering menopause, without dry skin, dryness, or what most people call PMS issues – and yes…..I do notice that my girls just feel better and I fill out better – no notice of prior fibrocystic lumps either. Remember though that it takes a well rounded program of eating well and exercising as well to insure your continued health. I don’t think anyone reading a doctor’s alternative page would think taking a pill will cure all ills; but treating the body as a whole with different approaches, does.

Lori Cody May 11, 2010 at 5:54 am

I have been using PM for about 6 months now for a very rare and life threatening autoimmune disorder called Autoimmune Progesterone Anaphylaxis (AIPA)/ Progesterone Induced Anaphylaxis. I am severely allergic to MY OWN Progesterone. The PM has put me in remission and sustaining remission so far. I only weighed 96 pounds when I first started treatment and had nothing but saggy bags of skin left as breasts. It was terribly gross. The PM has filled out my skin and I now have firm perky breasts (34B). I honestly expected no breast growth because of my health and weight problems. I had to start out only using a natural cream that I developed infused with PM due to complications taking it orally. I very slowly and gradually built up my resistance to oral doses until I was on 1000mg per day along with using the cream. Yes, I’m on very high doses due to my autoimmune disorder. Please understand that my intentions were not to grow breast, although loving that benefit, my only intentions were to try and treat my autoimmune disorder which I have been able to accomplish with great success. My doctors only offered highly experimental and risky treatments. I also suffered fibrocystic breast disease which I treated naturally/cured before starting treatment with PM. I recently had a sono done of my breasts and it only showed positive breast growth. No recurrence of the breast disease or precancer from the high doses of PM. It works like Tomaxafen with female related cancers but also provides beneficial estrogenic action. It is advised to not use PM if you’ve ever had or are suffering from a female related cancer, which I have, but my benefits of using PM outweighed my risks. YES, my breasts swell, become very sore, and get very large lumps in them when my progesterone levels raise about a week before each period. This is from growth only, my sono showed this. The first time I tried my cream (only applying it to the skin), I went into remission for 2 months, skipped my period for 2 months, and then suffered from anaphylaxis again once I started my period on the 3rd month. I started using the cream the first time about 15 days before my period. Big no, no for me! I stopped using the cream, waited a few months and then tried again. The second time I tried ( so far with 6 months of success), I waited to start using the cream on the 1st day of my period. 2nd month, on the first day of my period, I started adding minute amounts of oral doses under my tongue. Gradually built up from there until I reached 1000 mg per day and using the cream 2 times per day. I had breast growth the 1st month on my cream before ever even starting oral doses. Starting the treatment on the first day of your period, should keep you from skipping your period, did for me, and keeps it regular. That was very important for my treatment to work. I plan on weaning myself off of oral doses and increasing the amount of PM in my cream and using it alone when my tolerance to my progesterone has sustained. I will use the PM treatment at all times between my periods and NOT use it during my periods. This has been the best way for me. Women with lower amounts of their own estrogen will have side effects from oral doses of PM or even creams because they have to build up a tolerance slowly and adjust to the new level, just like I had to do. I could not tolerate any oral doses at first until my body was used to and adjusted to the cream. I have had surgery for cervical cancer twice and it has not recurred as well. I firmly believe it is cancer preventative, myself as an example, and has a great many benefits. I am healthier than I have ever been since the age of 10. I am 34 yrs old now. Pueraria Mirifica contains a bioidentical estriol which is the hormone produced the most during pregnancy, making our skin glow, nails and hair grow, etc. It is the most beneficial estrogen of the 3 that the female body produces which is why I chose it for a natural treatment. ANY hormone treatment could cause missed periods that will regulate with continued treatment and cause sore/lumpy breasts (just like going thru pregnancy or puberty) during breast growth. My full story with details on my autoimmune disorder and treatment are here:

Lori,
I’m so inspired by you! I have been through the wringer as they say with different things over the years – and the only way to properly deal with health setbacks is to arm yourself with knowledge and a kick-butt attitude; which you have in spades. I plan to read your website/blog soon as that kind of story always interests me. I just wanted to chime in and give you some much deserved kudos. Thanks for your informative take on what PM has done for you too..

Lori Cody May 14, 2010 at 6:26 am

Hi Kirsten! Thanks so much for you wonderful compliment!!! I certainly do hope others benefit from my story and treatment. Seriously means the world to me. Please do read my story when you get a chance and spread the word. It’s written for awareness of AIPA, most doctors do not even know it exits, and to help others with undiagnosed medical problems get diagnosis and treatment. I never want another person to have to suffer the things my family and I have been through! That kind of suffering is so unnecessary in so many cases like mine. I do hope you enjoy my articles.

Lori Cody May 14, 2010 at 6:31 am

Would also like to send out a big “Thank You” to Dr. Keith for allowing the link to my articles on AIPA (my story) to be displayed here! I am working on getting your link on my website and articles as well. MUCH APPRECIATED!

Where can I find Solgar PM phytogen Plus?? on which website? there are many annoucing solgar ph phytogen complex and others…
Please I need advice!

Hi, I want to use pm to increase my bust size and also to alleviate (age 39) perimenopausal symptoms. I am taking black cohosh right now and it does wonders for perimen. symptoms but nothing for boobs. I want to replace black cohosh with pm but worried i will gain weight. Does pm cause any weight gain?

Dr. Keith August 12, 2010 at 7:39 am

Not a recognized side effect Dodi.

Charlotte August 2, 2013 at 10:29 pm

Hi I started using PM Phytogen a year or so ago after finding out that I couldn’t take HRT prescribed from my doctor in any form because of the severe side effects. I found that my breasts increased in size after the first 2months but were also very tender at ovulation and just before a period. It was so nice to have a firm body again though and not just my breasts, I filled out everywhere but also found that I felt quite bloated most of the time and definitely put weight on around my tummy area.
I stopped taking them as I didn’t want the weight gain and was experiencing a lot of lower abdominal pain and discomfort. However 2months ago I started on PM again and have definitely noticed the fuller firm breasts and tummy problems, trouble is we as women have to choose whether to be big and firm or slim and soft. I lost a lot of weight, no longer had abdominal pain and felt much more energetic when I wasn’t taking PM but my skin felt soft and cold
to the touch and I noticed my breasts were smaller and sagging slightly.
Now that I have been educated in the benefits of PM I think I will battle on through the side effects as my parents both died of heart disease and there is also cancer in the family. I have no evidence that PM causes the symptoms I am experiencing it is just my personal observation through stopping and starting it and noticing how my body reacts to a natural product that can only be better than taking prescribed medicine. Thanks for reading.

ProfKeith August 3, 2013 at 4:44 am

Thanks for some intelligent information Charlotte.
You don’t state the source of your PM – remember most of it has poor or fake.
Also, to switch off cancer genes, you need to consider the Diet Wise Academy:

Mary August 17, 2010 at 1:01 pm

question – I read all above comments and am aware you need a well rounded life style as well as diet – I am having PMS symptoms and issues with weight – I currently cannot lose or gain weight – they state it relates to my PMS symptoms – will the PM Phytogen Complex help the weight issue as well as hot flashes

Jessica September 8, 2010 at 12:23 pm

Hello Doctor~

My situation is that I am a 42 year old fat chick, and I have been taking 1000 mg of HCG orally on and off for a few months. I had lost 30 pounds following the Dr. Simeon Protocol/HCG Diet ..until my supply ran out and so did my good habits. Now I’m about to go back on my HCG diet. I have recently purchased the very same Pure-D 500 PM from Ainterol online that others spoke of. Who wouldn’t want the side effects that were touted so much, right? My question is, of course.. Is it safe to combine HCG and PM? I really think I have too much Estrogen naturally due to my weight.. Fiddling with hormone levels gets so complicated! I don’t have insurance and I sure don’t want to find out the hard way that I made a terrible mistake. Help!

Dr. Keith September 8, 2010 at 2:12 pm

Since I am not selling you the stuff or receiving a commission, I guess it’s safe to answer!
The two will be fine in combination and actually BLOCK estrogen.
Good thing,

Hello Dr. Keith, I just bought some Solgar PM Phytogen Plus hoping for some breast enlargement. The direction says to take two capsules per day and each capsules are 80 mg…is it ok to take more than two capsules per day? I read on some sites that you must take at least 800 mg to see some results. Do you think the formula is different with Solgar and that it is stronger than other PM products? I weight about 130 lbs.
I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

Lori October 31, 2010 at 4:44 am

To the above comments- I do not use Ainterol to make my treatment. Have read various things about their products and not sure if they’re quality is as good others. So hard to tell, although their price is nice. You get what you pay for, as the saying goes. PM should not cause weight gain in most and alot of women actually lose weight because of it’s hormone balancing effects. I gained weight only because PM has allowed me to avoid anaphylactic reactions and eat properly. I’m not sure of Solgar PM, read great things for hormone balancing, but 80mg is a REALLY small dose for those that are actually wanting breast growth or control of estrogen dominance. PM blocks bad estrogen (causing estrogen dominance) from attaching to the estrogen receptors, allowing the body to flush them out. BUT has beneficial estrogenic action within the body. It has several mechanisms of action/benefits. I had breast growth just from using the cream that I developed but my pure infusion seems to be quite a bit more potent. Same amount of estrogen in both but nothing else blocking the estrogens absorption thru the skin. I am currently using my cream, oil infusion on my breasts only, and down to 500mg oral doses. I’ve been in remission for 10 months for those that are curious, still doing well! Another thing is that most PM is destroyed in the stomach acid or removed by the liver when taken orally. I take the 500mg capsule, open and pour the powder under my tongue and let it set to for a few minutes mixing with saliva. Doing it this way allows for it to go in thru the mucous membranes and works much better than just swallowing it. Drinking lots of milk will also increase growth. I heat my oil in hot water, didn’t used to but do now, and it absosbs much more quickly and efficiently. Massaging is a step that can not be missed for increased breast size, the more you massage the better the results!!! You absolutely can not drink ANY caffeine or alcohol!!! Both block or prohibit estrogens effects on the body. I might have 1 cup of coffee a few times a month and never before my period while I’m experiencing growth or when there is a possibility of reaction to my progesterone increasing. Drinking these will completely halt any growth. I do consultation for questions regarding health concerns, even if my specific treatments are not used. They are available to others but my area of focus is researching and helping other women with female related health concerns. It is very important to me to be able to help and advise, regardless of “who’s” products someone decides to use. Dr. Keith is very gracious in his efforts to answer and address most questions and concerns in this blog. Research is very time consuming.

Dr. Keith October 31, 2010 at 8:27 am

Unfortunately, Lori, Dr Keith is just running out the door (literally) for a road trip to LA.
I’ll do my best when I get back.

grace November 1, 2010 at 5:31 am

does PM cream work on slightly asymmetric breasts, i would just like to be even without having surgery . if so which pm cream is good and how long should i use it

Dr. Keith November 4, 2010 at 10:24 am

Not logically Grace. But you could try using it just one side.
The thing is it will likely get absorbed and so render both breasts at the same time.
This would apply to any brand.

Hi Dr Keith … Was that reccommended dosage 2mg, or 200mg? Because most sold are in the hundreds?

Please help I am currently taking 1000mg per day – one 500mg capsule in morning and one at night. By http://www.Pueraria-mirifica.co.uk

Thank you very much for all this advise

Hey Lori,

I found your last post so interesting. So you made your own moisturiser? Would you mind if I asked how you made it?

Many Thanks Toya x

Vanessa November 24, 2010 at 12:11 pm

I am 39 years old and have just recently had a blood work up done which proved that my FSH levels were quite elevated. I am waiting for it to come back (for a second time along with an estrogen levels test), but in the meantime met with a nutritionist who strongly suggested PM PhytoGen (Solgar). I noticed that I have a bit more energy after 2 – 3 days, but I am also a little agitated AND have a couple of dizzy spells. Please let me know if this common (I did see a Woman above complain of dizziness as well). Will this subside? I am currently only taking 1 tablet opposed to 2 a day suggested.

Thank you!
Vanessa

Lori December 1, 2010 at 5:57 pm

Latoya- It’s not exactly a moisturizer but works like one as well. It’s a simultaneous extraction and infusion of the PM into specific ingredients. The ingredients are capable of penetrating all layers of the skin and allowing the properties of the PM to directly enter the blood stream. Stomach acid and the liver either destroy or remove most of the oral doses and my stomach could not tolerate any oral doses in the beginning. Had to find a way around it. This way, more gets into the blood stream, avoiding the stomach/liver, etc and allowed my remission. Currently almost a year 🙂 My treatment is currently patent pending with the USPTO and I can not disclose the process for which I make it. I was on 1000mg per day and my cream/infusion 2 times per day but I weaned myself off of that much. Currently just using my treatment everyday I’m not on my period and 500mg orally per day 14 days before my period only, mainly for more growth. Hey, I want ALL the benefits, LOL. I don’t use either while on my period. Doing really well at the lower oral doses. I went into remission and had breast growth only using my treatments that I made for a while but adding the oral doses minimized my autoimmune symptoms even more. My allergy is really severe so I just needed a bit more of a boost. I was on 1000mg per day but felt really uncomfortable about it, seemed like too much, and I do just fine on the lower dose with my cream used in combination. It is said that 1000mg is safe to take but I personally didn’t like being on that much, especially if I could get by on lower doses. There is an adjustment phase of about 2 months with symptoms subsiding. Can not be exact on what symptoms of adjustment each woman will have, everyone is different, but mine lasted about 2 months and then completely subsided. Light headed, dizzy, headache, acne, hot flashes, night sweats were some of my symptoms and I just reduced dose and worked my way up VERY slowly.

michelle December 2, 2010 at 2:14 am

Hi Lori, I’m a bit confused, you said that you took pm on the first day of your period, and then you mentioned,
“I will use the PM treatment at all times between my periods and NOT use it during my periods.”

Why such conflicting messages? hmm I’m confused 🙁

Senéfora December 2, 2010 at 8:59 pm

Can I use Pueraria Mirifica if I got high blood pressure condition?

Lori December 6, 2010 at 4:27 pm

Sorry Michelle, didn’t mean to be so conflicting, it’s kind of hard to explain the way I had to do it to build up my tolerance and keep from skipping my period. When I tried using my cream to build up a tolerance the first time, I started about 15 days before my period when my progesterone was starting to rise, in hopes of keeping my reactions down, which it did. Did great for a bit but then I skipped my period for 2 months so I stopped treatment. When I finally started my period again I suffered from the anaphylaxis. I waited a few months to try my treatment again and that time, I started treatment on the first day of my period, very small amounts of cream being applied 2 x per day. The second month when I started my period, I added minute amounts of oral doses along with the cream application and increased my dose every few days to build up a tolerance. 3rd month I stopped all applications and oral doses when I started my period, started with the cream the day after my period ended, and then added the oral doses once again the day I started ovulating (about 14-15 days before my period). This has been my current schedule that is still working well for me. The first 3 months was all about gradually getting my body used to higher levels, stopping my organ failure from anaphylaxis, and gradually building up a resistance to my progesterone. Once I had my levels sustained and reactions controlled, I was able to stop using any treatments during my period when my own bodies hormones are at their lowest, and then begin treatment after my period. 14 to 15 days before your period is when your progesterone levels are the highest, when I would have severe reactions, so my treament with the PM has to be the highest. 3rd months treatment is the schedule I’m still doing, quite a few months now, and a year remission. This gradual building up and scheduling the first few months allowed me to not skip any periods. You aren’t supposed to take PM at all during your period and you should always take a break from it, but this is how I had to do it. This was the best way I found for myself and you only experience any real breast growth right before your period anyway which is when I need the most PM because of my autoimmune disorder. Every website about PM has different instructions but when I tried the way some explained, it just didn’t work out. I had to modify my dosages and scheduling of doses to find what benefited me the most and kept me in remission. This schedule is also working the best for the other women that use my treatment. Most do not use the oral doses with the cream or infusion because their allergy is not as severe or life threatening as mine and they don’t really care if they’re breasts grow, they just want to treat the autoimmune disorder. They apply to different soft tissue areas of the body for treatment. I wanted all the benefits, heehee 🙂 So I only apply to my breasts and face, I still get the whole body benefit with controlling my autoimmunity but I also get breast growth by applying mainly to my breast area. Still kind of confusing, but I hope this makes better sense!

Ive been to your blog a few times and always found some excellent weight loss suggestion. Im well on my way now to my accurate weight. Ive found that the majority of what you write about is valid information. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Hi Dr. Keith,

My girlfriend is diagnosed to have lumps on her breast. The doctor said it’s nothing to worry about. It’s normal, no treatment should be taken to remove the lumps. She only needs to make annual check up with the doctor to make sure there’s no growth or adding in number.

Should she be ok to take the Puearia Mirifica?

And also I read in some resellers website, they say it’s better to not taking the PM during period. Is that true? Because I also read in some others which says it’s ok to take it during period. So I’ve become unsure which is the correct one.

Thanks before.

Eleena April 7, 2011 at 5:41 pm

I have a question about Solgar Phytogen complex? I was taking these pills for maybe two weeks ,and I decided to take a higher dose than recommended. After a week of taking them I noticed my breats were getting sore and tender ,but after the second week I noticed my breats shrunk and my Larynx started to swell and felt painful. I went to the docter to get that checked out and he said that I was fine and that I just had a boney neck. Well my neck still feels swollen, but I stoped taking the PM over a week ago. I would just like to know if I overdosed or on the PM or if what I took was real PM at all?

ProfKeith April 9, 2011 at 1:35 pm

It is never wise to overdose on any remedy Eleena, without expert medical advice (and I mean someone really expert, not the average doctor).
Especially where hormones are concerned, only tiny trace doses still have an effect. That’s what’s special about these signaller substances.

Eleena May 1, 2011 at 4:43 pm

What brand of PM do you recommend ?

Dear Dr Keith,

I am 24 years old. Should I take PM? Will it have adverse effect on my health (eg. makes the body produce less estrogen as a long-term effect)?

Thank you so much. I hope to hear from you.

ProfKeith April 15, 2011 at 2:53 pm

Hannah,
The comments are not really for consultations. I don’t know enough about you to advize you personally.
But in general, I do not believe a young woman in her 20s should interfere with Mother Nature.
If it’s breast enlargement you want, just use the cream. That’s still going to have some impact internally.
But for general health, no… Unless there was a condition of extreme estrogen dominance, diagnosed by proper lab measurements.

nicole April 24, 2011 at 4:53 am

I am wondering , I am 38 , and my breast tissue has shrunk alot. I was told that taking PM will help me gain tissue back and maybe give me the breast size i once had. can you please tell me if there are any major side affects to this.. Also what is the recommended dosage , since many say there are different dosages.
thanks so much

ProfKeith April 24, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Nicole,
I’m not sure if there is an age limitation of breast enlargement. Try it, is the best advice.
It’s remarkably harmless. I suggest you get Garry Gordon’s formula and dosage, at: http://www.longevityplus.com

Kelly May 19, 2011 at 2:34 am

Hi I am 44 years old and have been suffering from uterine fibroids, which according to my personal doctor is caused from an estrogen hormone imbalance or too much estrogen, for several years now. I did not start developing these noncancerous tumors until after I had my first child, and now that I am still having complications(caused from the size and regrowth of these fibroids even after their removal from surgery ) more so than before can pueraria mirifica(the estro balance brand with d-indolylmethane) be used to treat(etc. reduce the size, pain, and regrowth of uterine fibroid tumors)? Thank you.Any answer will be greatly appreciated.

ProfKeith May 19, 2011 at 5:06 am

Kelly, I cannot approve brands.
But talk it over with your doctor and perhaps try this.
Just get certified supply, I do recommend that.
Prof.

Anjali May 19, 2011 at 2:06 pm

Can you please suggest the reliable source of getting PM ? Thanks

ProfKeith May 19, 2011 at 3:20 pm

I only know 2 US sources: longevityplus.com and Solgar vitamins

Make him work!

Jide Wines June 7, 2011 at 5:36 pm

Hi, I was wondering can anyone with high blood pressure take the PM pills?

ProfKeith June 7, 2011 at 6:43 pm

Technically, you should ask your doctor.
But if a woman has hypertension due to estrogen dominance, it should help to block estrogen receptors.

Jide Wines June 8, 2011 at 12:06 am

Hmmmm ok thanks so much.

Pryscilla June 26, 2011 at 3:55 am

Hi,

I Just bought PM Phytogen Complex. I am 21. I am on birth controll pills aswell, is this a safe combination? The reccomended dossage is 1 pil, 2 times a day. A capsule is 80mg. If I higher the dossage will PM will be more effective? And is it true about alocohol and caffeine to block the effect of PM?

Thanks,
Pryscilla

Tenshi July 13, 2011 at 7:05 am

Hi,

I want to try PM to have a larger breasts but im worried because i only have one kidney by reason of i had donated it to my sister 11yrs ago. Does it have side effects on my kidney if ever im gonna try PM? 🙂 Thank you.

ProfKeith July 13, 2011 at 9:43 pm

Dear Tenshi,
Your remaining kidney should have grown to compensate by now.
It’s amazing how the kidneys can do that 🙂
Prof.

Tenshi July 14, 2011 at 5:56 am

PM wont hurt my kidney? 🙂

Dee July 14, 2011 at 6:27 pm

I recently started using Purafem Puereria Mirifica capsules, concentrated oil and cream. Has anyone had any success with this brand? I’m using it for breast enhancement and anti-aging properties. I am 29. I chickened out of breast implants the day before my surgery. I’m hoping this will give me a slight increase in size.

Maggie July 14, 2011 at 7:53 pm

Dr.keith i am going to buy 100% Pueraria Mirifica Powder Extract (Premium Grade) and drink this in place of a capsule because i have a phobia of swollowing capsuls and i was wondering would the effects of it be greater? and also if my breast grow..will they decrease in size once i stop taking the pm? thank you soo much for your help.

ProfKeith July 14, 2011 at 8:20 pm

I can’t answer Maggie,
Because it depends on the authenticity of what you’ve got.
Note that post-menopausal women do not suffer reduction after menopause(somewhat the opposite).
Also breasts do not shrivel after total hysterectomy, when the ovaries are removed.
Prof.

Peachy McGee October 13, 2011 at 8:04 pm

I am a male who had botched breast reduction surgery as a result of Gynecomastia and Solgar PM has filled the crater left by the surgery on my right side. I am in my fifties and I take 2- 8o mg pills a day and am very satisfied with no side effects whatsover after 3 months.

ProfKeith October 13, 2011 at 10:22 pm

This comment is going to be helpful to a number of people Peachy.

Andrea November 28, 2011 at 10:32 am

Hi, about two months ago I bought PM Ainterol 500. I started one capsule a day in the morning. I was taking it for about 10 days when I had problems with itching (because of my liver). I cant take any hormones and maybe this one was very strong for me. So I stopped, I didnt want to have problems. Now I always think about starting PM again, maybe I should start another day of my cycle. Could anyone help me? What should I do? I would like to try it again.

Trish December 7, 2011 at 3:29 am

I am confused by some of the comments about PM and breast cancer, especially the response to June’s post. If PM has breast cancer prevention effects, why wouldn’t it be recommended for someone with a history of breast cancer for breast enhancement to help compensate for tissue lost during surgery?

ProfKeith December 7, 2011 at 3:37 am

A bit naive Trish,
You don’t surely think that just because it works, doctors will rush to prescribe it?
More likely they will rush to have it banned, because it’s cheap and cuts into their profits.
Prof.

Trish December 7, 2011 at 11:14 pm

I wasn’t thinking doctors in general; I was thinking of posts on this site and of people just trying to help each other out with information. Are you saying that as a doctor, you can’t publicly endorse PM this way? I was confused to see “blocks estrogen damage which includes . . . breast cancer” and “[worry about] recurrence” in the same reply.
It would be helpful to me to see some scientific studies or credible information about PM. There is so much on the breast enhancement sites that is hard to believe because of marketing bias. Does anyone know how the phytoestrogens in PM differ from those in soy, for example, which, as I understand, is NOT usually recommended for those with a history of breast cancer. Thanks very much for any reply.

lidia landin December 16, 2011 at 1:43 am

I will like to know where to get the real PM .thanks

amy December 26, 2011 at 9:34 pm

I’m a female, 30 years of age, and am completely flat chested. have read alot about PM so ordered it from ainterol. it is 500 mg and followed the dosage and treatment according to Lucille Sorella’s e-book “from flat to fab”. i have just finished with my first round of PM, i am also applying PM cream to the breasts, but so far have seen no change. According to her experience and research, PM should be taken on the first day of ur period, till the next fifteen days, and then stopped. and then to be restarted again on the first day of your period.
What i want to know is according to you when should a female start PM capsules, and is it ok to take them without a break, or should i follow the fifteen day cycle as suggested? i dont want to mess up my period or hormones.
please give suggestions and advice as to what the right way is to consume PM!
thank you.

Worried December 27, 2011 at 11:12 pm

Could you tell me what was wrong with my question?

ProfKeith December 28, 2011 at 8:53 pm

I don’t see any question from you “Worried”.
What was it?

Worried December 29, 2011 at 2:15 am

I am really sorry for my last reply. I was sent a personal email to tell me that the question i asked could not be put up because i need to see my doctor. I take PM and i have pain in the left breast around the nipple area. Its more painful on one side. I am male so i am embarrassed to tell my doctor. The PM i take is from a company in the UK and is recommended. My wife keeps saying to me to go see my GP, but i don’t want to. Ive had issues all my life and i have watched many of your posts. The worst thing i did was Google searching, it always mentions cancer and it freaks me out. Im sorry i said what i said. Thanks for being genuine with me, not many threads on the internet are genuine and i judged you wrongly. After the New Year, if i can pluck up the courage i may see my doctor. Not only did i get breast growth, but my hair grew back and i sleep better, i don’t want to stop taking it. Im still young, and i was really happy i found something natural to gain the results i wanted. I’m just worried by what i have read from sites that immediately say its cancer? I have a few lumps in both nipple areas, surely this is just growth? Either way, I’m sorry mate.

ProfKeith December 29, 2011 at 6:43 pm

“Worried”, I can see why this question was screened out. You are asking consultation-type questions, yet I do not know you or anything about you, your history etc. It would be crazy, not to say dangerous, for me to try and answer. This is only a blog.
However, I would urge you to get a proper work up with a competent doctor. It is not possible to solve any problem that has not been properly diagnosed, surely you can see that?
Prof.

Worried December 30, 2011 at 10:57 am

Yes definitely, It was a bit of a stupid question off me. I will address the problem in the new year with a doctor that can help me out. Thanks for your honesty. Have a great 2012 🙂 ( I will post a something positive if everything is OK. I am hoping this is normal regarding growth. PM is amazing)

Worried January 1, 2012 at 2:22 am

Do you do private consultation? Your accent sounds like mine and i wondered if you have a clinic or a practice that i could get to? . Or should i just go to my GP? Your blogs are awesome by the way. Its hard to find genuine folk on the internet, but i have looked at some of your stuff and its brilliant.

snovvit January 4, 2012 at 9:04 pm

I want to take PM along with hair vitamin supplements. The supplements contain amino acids and b vitamins. Do you think it would be okay?

sammy January 5, 2012 at 5:38 pm

when breasts are growing and so qwickly it will be sore but that wont stay its just because or the hormones :3 you no before useing theys types of things you should really check with a doctor as i did it could of had a horible reaction but the soreness is actualy listed as things that happen its just..logical in my book mainly coz i no about that stuff the soreness is just it working ^^ and it being so effective is just because it works well with your body they say a avrage

Was Worried January 14, 2012 at 6:02 pm

Thanks Sammy, It made sense what you said, but i wanted to get checked out. I think Google search is the worst thing to do if you want the correct diagnosis. Yes it is growth pain and quite normal for anyone taking PM, everyone can have something different to another who is taking the herb. Goes to show how powerful PM really is, there’s all this synthetic medicine, yet mother nature has the answer to everything if you know where to look. I have read horror story’s of men and women taking HRT regarding DVT , heart and stroke attacks. This herb is amazing, and does what doctors are declaring it does. There are no side effects that are life threatening as far as i know and have read. My sleep is amazing! that’s one thing i do want to get across, it helps sleep, i don’t know how but my sleep is a lot better. My hair has regrown, darkened and thickened. I think it will be a shame when larger company’s sell this and make a fortune. My last posts were negative, but i can honestly say, this is an amazing little herb.

Christie January 31, 2012 at 2:40 am

Hi, just wondering if this product is safe to take ‘before’ you experience menopause? I am in my 20s and would like fuller breasts, I am also on a contraceptive pill and was wondering if there were any effects I need to be concerned about before purchasing this product? Your help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Christie.

Rickelle March 1, 2012 at 9:31 pm

I am wondering the same thing! If you happen to find out any information could you please share? 🙂
Thanks!

Tina March 5, 2012 at 6:16 am

I really want to take PM but i am not sure about one thing. I am trying to get pregnant. Will PM do any side affects on fertility? Thank you very much. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tina March 5, 2012 at 6:18 am

I don’t really get what it has been said “I don’t consult anymore”. What does it mean? Thanks

ProfKeith March 9, 2012 at 5:48 pm

You are asking a question which should go to a doctor, in his consulting rooms.
These blog comments are not a substitute for consulting with a physician for advice.
I hope this is now clear.

Ann June 17, 2012 at 8:10 pm

Hi Pro Keith

I have purchased PM from a healthcare company who sell lots of vitamins and supplements they are called “Biovea” I am a bit worried to think I may not have a genuine product from what I have read. The amount recommended 2 capsules a day and they are 500mg. My doctor recommeded them as he thinks I could be at the peri menopausal stage in my life. My questions are do PM cause weight gain and constipation. I do have a wheat interlorance and have to be careful with what i eat. Look forward to your reply, kind regards Ann

Guest September 9, 2012 at 8:43 am

Just some info to pass on:
I was purchasing PM last year from someone who has commented on this blog, Lori Cody, and who herself suffers from a severe progesterone allergy. Because there is nowhere else to find or share reviews about her services, I decided to post one here.
Pros: She was pretty knowledgeable and I think she still sells PM products. Her products seemed fresh and pure.
Cons: Her products were not consistent. The new orders I got always looked, smelled, tasted, and felt different from the last ones, which was kind of weird. But my biggest peeve was that she had sloppy business practices. I had to stop buying from her because she didn’t know how to provide timely service. There were a lot of times when I didn’t get my products for so long because she was really slow in preparing them and sending them out. She would also make excuses for her delays, which I was understanding of for a while, but I eventually got fed up. My opinion is that when you run a business, you need to run things professionally, without having to constantly make up excuses for not being able to do so.
I came across this website while searching for PM products, and when I saw she had commented, I just wanted to provide this information in case it’s helpful to anyone in any way.

Alana December 11, 2012 at 5:19 pm

Hi,

I’m currently taking Purafem capsules. Having read some previous comments, I can only hope they are the real thing. Recommended dosage is 2m 2n, for 1400 mg per day. They seem to be working, though the regular breast massage I’m doing now may have helped the girls as well. Why is there so much variance between doses amongst different products? Also, is there a definitive answer on drinking coffee while taking PM? Livestrong’s website states that PM contains caffeine.

Thanks,

Alana

Stephanie December 16, 2012 at 12:28 pm

Hi Prof. Keith,

I just wanted to ask if this site is a legitimate site to buy PM from. They just say the bottle contains 100% pure PM from Thailand.
Also is the dosage they off of 500mg twice a day ok?

http://www.pueraria-mirifica.co.uk

I looked on the longevity plus site but their dosage is only 100mg. I wasn’t sure which dosage will get the better results the safest.

Laslty, if you are on birth control would that inhibit the effects?

Thanks

ProfKeith December 16, 2012 at 4:32 pm

The reason for the suggested larger dose is that it doesn’t do any good. But they sell more.
From that alone, I can tell you it’s the wrong stuff. I only know of LongevityPlus and Solgar doing the real plant.
I would say somewhat untested from the point of view of interactions with microdose Pill.
Can’t say go ahead without worrying!

I’m 19 this year and i wanted to ask that is it safe to consume PM capsule or use PM serum/cream on my breast at this age? Will there be any side effects later in my life if i use PM now?

Thanks.

SAMANTHA ALLAN March 4, 2013 at 3:59 pm

I purchased 4 bottles of 100% PURE PUERARIA MIRIFICA 500MG capsules off ebay from Pueraria-uk. To date I have taken 120 capsules three times a day and so far have noticed a significant increase and firmness in my breasts. However I experienced soreness & tenderness in my nipples just days after my first few doses. I am still experiencing soreness in my nipples but my breasts continue to grow. Should I worry about this tenderness in my nipples?

SAMANTHA ALLAN March 22, 2013 at 12:01 pm

Surprised this site is still up and running if you no longer consult.
Just wanted to say that I`m now on my 180 100% PURE PUERARIA MIRIFICA 500MG capsule now and the soreness has gone from my nipples and my tiny breasts are now much bigger and still growing by the day. I purchased 4 bottles with a fifth bottle absolutely free off ebay for £38. Well worth every penny as these capsules are the real Macoy. Will post the link for anyone who wishes to try these capsules which I highly recommend.

ProfKeith March 24, 2013 at 6:35 pm

Yes Samantha, if you have found a gold vein, let’s share the link…

SAMANTHA ALLAN March 22, 2013 at 12:07 pm

Here is the link to purchase 4 bottles with a fifth one free of 100% PURE PUERARIA MIRIFICA 500MG capsules. They have gone up in price slightly since I last purchased but as I previously stated I highly recommend these as they are the real Macoy. They really do work!

Hi Samantha…was just wondering if you have experienced any side effects or weight gain while taking this pueraria mirifica?
Thanks…

Sam Fox March 22, 2013 at 7:30 pm

I can confirm that the ebay link above is the best source for Pure PM and it`s also the cheapest supplier on the web. Pure PM also works on the penis as several of my male friends swear by it. it will enlarge both length and girth.
Take with half a glass of milk not water as this speeds up breast & penis enlargement process. My GP who recommended PM to me gave me this tip.
Only side effect for a man is the development of breasts, but what the heck they look good on a man and are very sexy. Please contact me if you would like any more info on PM as I have loads of positive feedback from both male and female users of this product I would be more than happy to share with you.

Dr Keith,
Concratulations on your work! Your anwers are really helpful!
I have heared that some hormonal herbs increase not only the size of breasts, but also the size of hips!! And I wouldn’t want that to happen.. Does thiw happen with PM?

Vi May 1, 2013 at 3:16 am

Dear Doctor,
I just bought Ainterol pure-d 500r1 100x500mg puerica mirifica pills, had one after breakfast. My main goal is to loose a little bit of fat and grow breasts. How often should I take it? Should I take one or two pills? I am also on birth control pills, I weight 123lbs, I’m 20 years old. When should I expect to see results?
Thank you very much, hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes!

Dear Dr. Sandy / Dr. Keith

With regards to Breast Enhancement, I would like to inquire if its okay to have intake of Solgar Fenugreek and Solgar PM Phytogen at the same time?

I made a two-month meal plan wherein I only opt for estrogenic foods to help my breast grow bigger in natural way and at the same time I am planning to have an intake of PM Phytogen Complex and Fenugreek made by Solgar.

As per my research, PM Phytogen Complex should be taken once a day after meal and Fenugreek should be taken 3x a day after meal.

Kindly advice if I can intake both supplements a day.

Thank you.

ProfKeith September 16, 2013 at 6:27 am

you must ask Solgar.

Greg October 16, 2013 at 5:39 am

I know that Ainterol is a really good brand, pure root from Thailand. I’ve compared it against another brand – about the same look, flavor, texture, etc. I’m a gender fluid male who wanted small breasts, developed nipples, thicker hair, better skin, stronger nails, and general facial and body feminization. After about 7 months I can say that I’m very happy with the results I’ve gotten so far. I started at a bit over a gram a day, but have cut back to about 750 mg day. I’m working on seeing to it that I take just the right dose to get just the results I want (I don’t want big breasts that are hard to hide when I want to).

Mo October 18, 2013 at 5:16 am

I was taking Pueria murifica , and I noticed my breast getting tender but I started to bleed between periods. I would take it the first day of my period for 15 days and my bleeding would not stop like when I was on DepoProvera. Why am I bleeding and could I be allergic to phytoestrogens . If it’s the product I will try the recommended brands from earlier posts but am I just the rare type that will get irregular bleeding from any phytoestrogen? I’m 35, 3 kids, 112 pounds , my breast were 34b now I’m 34 -A, lol, ( no breast feeding) I’m scared of surgery and the noogleberry doesn’t retain

ProfKeith October 18, 2013 at 6:00 pm

This is deep into medical consultation territory Mo, which I am not permitted to do.
I’ll pass your query onto Dr Sandy, who is an expert living in Thailand.
His current life work is Pueraria.
Prof.

Website is very informative. I had a question about bio-identical hormone therapy
and using PM supplements. Would it mean too much of the estrogen, I take
progesterone twice daily as well as the biest. thanks so much for your time

ProfKeith October 21, 2013 at 11:24 am

One or the other Connie,
You can’t mix and match.

connie steves October 22, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Thanks so much, I’m glad I asked, and of course I’m glad I didn’t take the
estrogen cream and pm together. Very much appreciate you letting me know.
You probably saved me problems down the road, since my own doctor was not
familiar with P.M
Thankyou!
Sincerely, connie

daniel rossi November 15, 2013 at 3:01 am

Hello, l am a 35yo male from Italy. I’ve been taking PM breast cream only for just 1 week, i have heard from some of my gay friends into cross-dressing and wanting to feminize their body a bit, that if you apply the cream only on your penis it will shrink it after a few months maintaining your sexdrive and if you apply the cream mixed with a lotion on your head and forehead, it will improve hair regrowth. Is it safer than taking pills? I don’t want to lose my sexdrive or grow too much breast. Thank you

ProfKeith November 15, 2013 at 9:44 am

A bit of folklore there Daniel,
The hair growth and penis thing is (in my view) nonsense.
Whether men have enough natural estrogen to promote breast growth is debatable.
No science to help.

Erica January 13, 2014 at 11:03 am

Dear Dr. Keith Dr.Sandy,

I would like to inquire will it cause any side effect or influences to fibroids by intaking PM? How can we define which brand of PM is qualified, whereas there are so many products selling? How much mg content of PM should be take for a a normal day serving and which is enough to reach the breast growth? Thank you for the answers !

Alice January 21, 2014 at 1:37 pm

How much Solgar PM complex plus is reccomended as a daily
dose for breast englargement? Considering that you need at least 500mg of
Pureria Murifica a day.

ProfKeith January 21, 2014 at 5:47 pm

You don’t mention your age, Alice.
Between 20 and 49 years old, with daily does of 100 mg to 600 mgs / day. Smith Naturals recommends a schedule of the 8th day from the stat of the monthly menstrual cycle to the 21st day.

Nuna February 3, 2014 at 11:25 pm

Hello Dr. 🙂
I wonder 2 questions if i may ! i’m female/34 years old / i don’t take any medication / no diseases of any kind .
I have big BUT very saggy breasts because i was heavy in the past then lost weight that resulted in long thin saggy ( ugly ) breasts ! will PM helps to make it fuller ? or does it only helps breasts to grow ?
also i’m going to buy PM powder ( not in capsules form ) , can i simply mix 300 gm or the quantity i’m taking in a small spoon of honey and swallow it ? instead of filling the powder in a capsule first ?
i’m a pharmacist , and from my knowledge , putting the drug in capsules or making it in tablets form is a way of protecting the active ingredient from many enzymes and acids that might destroy it’s effectiveness along the way till it reach the wanted destination that we want it to be absorbed ! how that goes with PM ? i’m going to buy it from a company that cell the powder in bulks in plastic bags ( they cell it to be refilled in capsules ) but when i asked them that question , they didn’t gave me an accurate prof. answer ! so can powder be taken solely without being filled in a capsule ?
Thank you for your time .

ProfKeith February 4, 2014 at 9:41 am

Not with the fullness Nuna. It is great to take PM anyway.
I think virtually everyone should take it, even males, as it’s a great anti-ager.
See my piece on that here: http://www.alternative-doctor.com/newsletter/medicineoutsidethebox-2.htm

Sharmaine February 15, 2014 at 10:09 am

Hello, doctor. I’m planning to buy the thanyaporn puera mirifica in bottles of 60 caps from Thailand for breast enlargement(150mg/capsule) but is it okay if I take it though I’m still 18 years old. Hoping for your reply :)thank you.

Pao March 28, 2014 at 6:40 am

I’m taking gogobig pills and its written on the bottle that it’s from Japan…it says there that it contains pueraria mirifica and I’m worried if I’m taking the pill that contains real pueraria mirifica….I’m scared….and caffeine suppresses the growth of the breasts right? But a while a go i just drank a cup of coffee….will it supress the growth of my breasts if I only took one cup of coffee? Will it affect it’s growth with just a cup of coffee? Thank you….

ProfKeith March 30, 2014 at 3:03 pm

Pao,
I can be fairly confident that what you are taking is not real PM, as I write about.
So you can’t deduce the interactions.
Since I don’t know it is is you are getting,
I can’t advize on that either. I think an occasional cup of coffee will not produce any effect.
But habitual use leads, in some women, to fibrocystic breast disease (not malignant but painful).

Hello,

I went to http://www.longevityplus.com/ but I can’t find the PM or it isn’t sold there anymore. Do you know of another legit website where I can purchase PM?

Thank you in advance.

No Kelly. It’s a scam.
