People around the world grow sicker every year. A growing number of researchers point to the toxic body burden so many are plagued by.
What is Toxic Body Burden?
Every day, your system is overrun by toxins that attack your immune system, wreak havoc at the cellular level, and drastically increase your serious disease risk.
These toxic compounds are quite literally everywhere. Your food, what you drink, your beauty products, your cleaning supplies, the air, the soil, and even the building materials used to construct your home or office.
This isn’t conjecture. It’s not a theory. This is a fact proven by reports from medical and governmental institutions around the world. Don’t be fooled into thinking that simply knowing about these toxins means government agencies will actually do anything about them.
In this, you’re on your own.
Some of these contaminants – such as fluoride (labeled as “beneficial”) and the ingredients found in feminine hygiene products (labeled “harmless”) – are sources of toxic overload you may be aware of. Others – such as the construction materials used in your home or office – you may have no control over at all.
It can be frustrating, infuriating, to have no idea what toxins are invading your body – the bodies of your family – or how to stop them.
Toxic body burden has been linked to…
- Heart disease (the #1 killer in the world)
- Cancer (the #2 killer in the world)
- Autoimmune disease
- Metabolic syndrome
- Neurodegenerative diseases
- Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome
- Autism
- Behavioral disorders
- Allergies
- Severe hormone imbalance
If you’re suffering from toxic body burden, there are steps you can take to minimize your exposure. First, you must identify the source of the pollutants so you can scour them from your daily life and allow your system to recover.
Much the way you sterilize your home after a nasty outbreak of stomach flu, you need to give your body a system reset to prevent toxic overload.
- Identify the source or sources of pollutants.
- Clean up your eating and drinking habits.
- Perform a “lifestyle” check.
- Isolate or remove the toxins to prevent further exposure.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that of the 319 million people living in the United States, “Half of all adults – 117 million people – had one or more chronic health conditions” and 1-in-4 adults are diagnosed with two or more chronic health conditions.
Furthermore, the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion confirmed that 1-in-2 adults (18 years or older) was diagnosed with at least one of the following six chronic illnesses:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Arthritis
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- Cancer
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
The situation is urgent and the “people in charge” see nothing wrong with our slow descent into illness and death. It’s up to you!
Our lives are saturated with chemicals. In drinking water alone, more than 300 toxic substances were identified in sources across America. The New York Times reported that the exposure to some contaminants and carcinogens in tap water were the equivalent of 100 x-rays.
You already know how dangerous it is to get too many x-rays! That’s just our drinking water.
The U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lists more than 3,000 allowable additives to our food supply. Yes, the food you buy, prepare, and feed your family is allowed to have chemical food additives the FDA determines as “safe” – whether you agree or not.
Here’s an excerpt from the FDA’s website:
“Some consumers have concerns about additives because they may see the long, unfamiliar names and think of them as complex chemical compounds. Every food we eat – whether a just-picked strawberry or a homemade cookie – is made up of chemical compounds that determine flavor, color, texture and nutrient value.”
It’s fascinating that they liken a “just-picked strawberry” to an ingredient such as monosodium glutamate that’s chemically created, added for profit value (enhanced flavor), and has been proven time and again to be toxic to human health.
Their rationale simply doesn’t make sense.
Chronic Care in America estimates that 157 million Americans will have one or more chronic health conditions by 2020. That’s more than half the population of the United States with chronic – potentially deadly – health problems within the next couple of years!
So that’s the chemicals in your food and water…but there are other chemicals that you have daily exposure to that drastically raise your toxic body burden.
Some of them are particularly troubling because they’re used on skin (allowing immediate access to your bloodstream), your mouth (access to the bloodstream through the mucus membranes), or genital areas (the most fragile skin of your body).
We’re talking about industrial grade chemical carcinogens proven to raise your personal risk of cancer (among others) and damage to your central nervous system.
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) released their findings a decade ago after having the umbilical cord blood of 10 newborn babies tested for pollutants. All of them tested positive for between 154-231 toxins that included “pesticides, consumer product ingredients, and wastes from burning coal, gasoline, and garbage.”
Some of the contaminates were known to contribute to a higher risk of birth defects. If you’re a pregnant or nursing mother, your child literally consumes traces of everything you eat, drink, and use on your body.
5 Tips for Lowering Toxic Body Burden
- Always read your labels on your food, drinks, cleaning products, beauty supplies, and more. Know what you’re putting on, in, or around your body. Go natural where you can and slowly eliminate the number of contaminants in your personal space.
- Implement water filtration. Even if your tap water tastes fine, filter it so what you’re drinking and using to prepare your food has as many impurities removed as possible.
- Pay attention to signs and symptoms of bigger issues. If you suffer from chronic pain, fatigue, memory problems, or mood disorders, cleaning up your eating habits and lifestyle could be the boost your system needs.
- Notice changes to health or appearance that have no explanation. Many pollutants are bio-accumulative over time. It can take years for harmful quantities to build up in your tissues. Consider a gentle cleanse as a “reboot” for your natural detox system.
- Consider a biomonitoring test to measure total body burden of contaminants. Once used primarily to test lead levels in the human body, new forms of the test use blood and urine to determine exposure to toxic substances.
Lower your exposure, scrub your body, and avoid becoming re-exposed. Toxic body burden is a slow and creeping issue that doctors and agencies are blatantly ignoring.
It’s up to you to stop your body from being broken down by the tens of thousands of chemicals considered harmless or beneficial.
