Islam and the threat to world peace

I’m publishing this piece for a number of reasons. For one thing, it is not racist or anti-Islam, just anti-killing. It is reasoned and not emotional. Secondly, in 1989 when the Berlin wall went down, my immediate prediction from that moment was that we may have got rid of the Soviet threat but that Islam would rise to be the next major threat to world peace (most others said NO, it would be China).

Muslim’s have threatened to take over my home country, Great Britain, and they show every sign of moving forward swiftly on this, with the complicity of mindless, stupid left-wing socialists who think even evil killers and terrorists are entitled to “social justice”.

I can’t help thinking of Winston Churchill’s warning to the British nation, talking about communists: If you don’t stop them now, you will end up fighting for your life on the streets.

I believe that only peace loving and law abiding people have “rights”, not troublemakers.

It was sent to me. I do not know the author…

A German’s view on Islam and the threat to world peace

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. ‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’

We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honour-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ‘silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. Chinas huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed
to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.

Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun…

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, Zimbabweans and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts – the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on – before it’s too late.

Strong stuff, huh?

  1. I read halfway through this passage, paused & wept.

I have had such a fortunate life, growing up after WW2, being generally ‘ignorant ‘ of the
    outside world & its politics.

Now in remembering the past & seeing the ‘big picture’ I can understand where I am.
The world my children & grandchildren are inheriting is a world of hardness, & without empathy.
The basic values of the past unknown & lost.
The coming NWO (so called Order out of Chaos) a euphemism for a world fascist dictatorship that will stunt imagination & kill all their dreams.
I can’t help thinking that the wars & inefficiencies of war isn’t a culling of the populations. Wars always seem to pave the way for more superior technologies, faster.
Each generation is new ( & can be ‘wasted’) & hasn’t even experienced the past. As a new generation they can’t understand. They only know a fanatical fighting at all costs for their beliefs .
Beliefs that have been artifically instilled into their minds & manipulated by history!

Perhaps the older, more experienced generation, can take a stand, awaken ourselves & the the ‘sleepers’. To be watchful & aware.
As the biblical phrase instructs, be wise as serpents, gentle as doves.

  2. The fanatics are generaly uninteligent people seeking a highher position in this life, and are easily led by others who have their own delusions of self importance and power.
YES i say the SOFT SELL so called silent muslim is guilty as the fanatic.

  3. Hi,

….I had to give you the benefit of the doubt reading this and I am glad I did. It did start to sound very anti-Islam, which felt uncomfortable to me. There is much to be said about crimes against arabs in Israel some of whom are muslims. Karl Sabbagh writes in the BMJ Published 24 February 2009, entitled ‘Personal paper…Perils of criticising Israel’ including the following text:

“I contributed a regular column to World Medicine, a popular fortnightly magazine for doctors. In 1981, the Israeli authorities announced a tourism promotion called medical Olympics, which aimed at encouraging British doctors who might never have visited Israel to find out more about the country. I wanted to tell doctors contemplating such a visit some facts about the country and its then prime minister, Menahem Begin, so I wrote about the massacre of innocent Palestinian villagers in 1948 at the village of Deir Yassin that had taken place under his command.4 Although Begin and other Israelis denied it at the time of my article, the facts about this and other examples of ethnic cleansing in 1948 have now been validated by several Israeli historians from military archives opened in the past decade or so.What you seem to be saying is there is and has beena ‘alot of walking on the other side of the road’ going on in the history of our nations, which has meant injustices were perpetrated. Lots of people saw something happening but chose not to consider its import”.

Sadly I see this happening all around me. People in work often seem to ‘sell their soul’ and in so doing do not make a stand for the injustices they see, and so it goes on. This may seem small fry in comparison to acts of a more political nature where the innocent on the wrong side are killed…but to me it comes from the same emotional place.

So yes please lets all try to speak out against injustice with impartiality…we all bleed whatever side we are on. And lets do it before things get out of hand.

  4. Your commentary missed two extremely important elements about Muslim fanatics. The first is who is promoting such an extreme form of Islam and secondly who is financing the extremists. We don’t have to look far, just to America’s principal ally in the middle east and that is Saudi Arabia.

For more than two centuries, Wahhabism has been Saudi Arabia’s dominant faith. It is an austere form of Islam that insists on a literal interpretation of the Koran. Strict Wahhabis believe that all those who don’t practice their form of Islam are heathens and enemies. Critics say that Wahhabism’s rigidity has led it to misinterpret and distort Islam, pointing to extremists such as Osama bin Laden and the Taliban. Wahhabism’s explosive growth began in the 1970s when Saudi charities started funding Wahhabi schools (madrassas) and mosques from Islamabad to Culver City, California. (PBS Frontline)

Extremists have to be financed. You can’t buy weapons, build bombs, promote hatred of the west, recruit new advocates of wahhabism unless you have money. The Saudi’s have money, oil money paid to them by western countries. Wahhabi schools (madrasses) especially in Pakistan and Afghanistan teach their Students (Taliban) hatred of all things we in the west hold dear to us.

The mosques built and financed by the Saudi’s are led by imams who promote wahhabism and it’s distorted view of Islam. Who promotes and which country practice the most extreme form of Sharia Law. It is the Wahhabi and the Saudi’s. George W attacked Iran. He should have went into Saudi Arabia to stop the flow of money that promotes Wahhabism and its extreme view of Islam. Without money Islamic terrorism will diminish and the world will be a better place to live, no matter where you live.

  5. I find it strange that the author gave figures of “peace loving citizens” who had been slaughtered by fanatics in different countries yet failed to mention the six million “Jewish” peace loving citizens who were slaughtered in his country Germany – why is that?

    • Kathryn,
Have you missed the point? This is not a body count to see who is the “worst”. The author was merely saying if the peace loving section of the population do nothing, peace and love will be lost and slaughter take its place (as history so richly reveals).

  6. One thing no one mentioned here is threat coming from USA. US is on the brink of economic collapse, dollar will soon lose its value. This may lead to a war within US, and consequences for everyone else in the world. Currently about forty million people in US live on food stamps and over thirty million are unemployed. Taxes and prices of everything are skyrocketing. Rich are getting richer, and poor are poorer than ever. Media coverage is limited and government controlled; thus people have hopes of recovery which is not very likely to happen.
People are fed with the stories about communist Russia, communist Cuba, and now growing threat of communist China. The goal is to keep people in constant fear from outside; thus making them ignore far more serious things going on inside the country. According to the USA constitution, US cannot go into the war unless it is attacked by some other country. So, there was Spain who attacked USA in the past (1898), than there was Vietnam (1955-75), Iraq (1990-91), Afghanistan (2001) – I don’t see how this primitive country could present a threat to anyone? And then again war in Iraq (2003) due to fear of never discovered weapons of mass destruction and now similar scenario is happening with Iran. We can observe similar trends in the future. All of the Muslim countries, which happen to own estimated 60-70% of the total oil in the world, or control it in some way, will be labeled as enemy of US and will eventually provoke the war with US; thus US will have to take action and establish control over these countries.
I would understand logic of going into war for profit if somehow people of USA would actually benefit from these wars, but instead people are actually just used to finance these wars. Big companies owned mostly by the people who actually control the US government like Haliburton and Exxocon Mobil, BP, etc., get huge multi-bilion contracts to rebuild countries after these countries were destroyed by US military and of course rebuilding never happen, and money disappears mysteriously.
As far as the danger goes let us be realistic. The only nation in the world who has ever used nuclear weapons and continues using ammunition with enriched uranium is US. Such uranium ammo was used by US air forces when bombing targets in Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Anyone see any threat here? I guess not, because rest of the world is either sharing the same “greed values”, it is brainwashed, or is keeping their mouth shut hoping they would not become a target. Remember when France made mistake by not joining NATO forces in illegal invasion of Iraq and was threatened to become the target of US herself?
In conclusion, I can only say I feel bad and sorry for every single person in this world who does not see what is going on, no matter what religion or nation these people belong to. War does not bring any good to any nation and it never did, the only ones who benefit from the war are those who start them and control them, not the nation or people themselves.

  7. None of the distortions and perversions of faith in the true and living God diminish the value of the secxurity there is in culltivating true faith in God as he reveals himself to and rewards those who truly seek him. Honest and earnest Prayer to him is still answered. He reveals himself and his love to the true seeker, and in truly finding, serving, and obeying him is afforded safe refuge from the otherwise unavoidable woe to which the world plunges headlong. All of his genuine promises will be kept, including the promise made by angels tha stood by that he who ascended into Heaven will come agin in like manner.

The martyr in he North Korean Gulag is not defeated or destroyed by the sacrivice he courageouslky makes. Blood spilt in Tenemen square was not for naught. For the rest of us, we ought to mind how our hearts and acts align with God and his will, and wai for the Arm of the Lord to be revealed.

  9. We are a people who have lost our way. We don’t know how to worship GOD in the right way that HE requires but in the way we desire. We have all lost sight of the 10 COMMANDMENTS, to us they are 10 sugestions. We allow so called ministers to teach that the LAW is done away, that we have grace, grace to sin against GOD. The fourth COMMANDMENT, Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it HOLY. We violate every week by keeping Sunday, but now in Europe the callendar show Sunday as the 7th day. We break every commandment but some how we are right in our own eyes. But we want peace yet we won’t repent before GOD. We want it our way!!!!!!!!!! Now we see things going to hell as they would say, but will we return to Primitive Christianity and humble ourselves before the ALMIGHTY GOD of the Bible???? That is our only sollution

  10. We don’t want to forget Jim Jones, and other Christian religious fanatics. There are enough religious nuts to go around in every religion, that’s for sure

  11. hi prof

SO ENJOY your newsletter contents, opinions and humor
and I believe the occasional ” political ” offering is quite fine
    along with errant misspells

you’re entertaining, informative and as humble as the lot of us
if you don’t mind, proof for spelling errors please
    …keeps the professional in prof

    • JR it’s Viv who does my proof reading. Since she is a bit dyslexic, some stuff gets through.
I can’t write fast and well AND be the editor 🙂
      I hope you understand, Keith

  12. I would like to make a coment on us ” peace loving Citizens” Why are we peace loving Citizens? Our parents thought us that. Our religion teaches us that. We are thought to forgive our enemy’s. We are thought to love one another, your neighbour. your enemy, so that is why, on this earth we have no chance to enyoy anything but to be peace loving Citizens. We don’t join these protesters, wether they are right or wrong. We really don’t express our ourselves, which might be our fallout, on this earth. Jesus on the Cross, forgave everyone.

  13. There are three universal Islamic rules to any interpretation of the Quran.
    1. The Quran is the infallible Word of Allah.
    2. Any conflict found between two verses, the later verse occurring in the Quran takes precedence in interpretation.
    3. The life and actions of the Prophet Mohammed is the ultimate determination to any correct interpretation found in the Quran.

Any quick review of the ‘life and times’ of the Prophet and it should be clear that the good Dr. has once again distilled the facts down to a core element regarding a very important issue. Bravo Kieth! – well done.

  14. I sympathize with most of what has been said. Although I believe that the only way to change the world is through the work of every individual on his/her self. In understanding the basic laws of corrospondence and projection; sowing and reaping and cause and effect. None of us are innocent -as soon as we become aware ( even as little children) it begins. We all are our own authority and the only worthwhile disipline is self disipline. I have to take on board the enormity of my own responsibility in this life- on this earth; as a human being, woman, a mother a caring being. I’m no intellectual-not a political beast, just someone who also cares. But neither am I dumb or blinded by any self denial, refusal to see the world in me, and around me. To see it’s blackness- but also I see it’s light. I see *fanatics- in all walks of life. Anger is good, it is the element in life that we can use for transformation starting with ourselves. There is nothing that exists on the greater spheres/plains of life, that doesn’t exist & isn’t being acted out all around us, in everyway and in everyday, nothing that even I can’t reach out to and touch.
It’s the little men/woman ( the masses),that have the real power to bring about the change.
But once again they slumber on,within their own small self made walls.
Maybe full of discontent-weighed down with worries, and fear.
And now!? I can choose to be offended by the building of a MosQue, even a Church if I’m a Moslem, but where will this get me? ‘let the dead take care of the dead’ it is written that Jesus said this… A verse in the bible that is rarely if never quoted… re-member them,we do in our memories. But let us remember ourselves and life- and the best tool for this is love- spelt backwards the first 4 letters of evol-ution. Carole.

  15. I agree fully with the prof. I am from a different part of the globe and the handiwork of “the religion of peace” is very much evident in my country. We look towards the West for inspiration , but it is very disheartening to see that the Western world is succumbing to the vile charms of these people.
What’s going to happen 50 years from now? Perhaps Non-muslims will not even be able to breathe .
